CWP Style: How to Style Culottes

Hey dolls! top of the day to you.
There is this fashion staple that I am dying to get for myself....its a stylish pant that has a wide-rimmed hem and a tiny waist, have you seen it around? do you know what its called? Culottes!!!

Culottes are trending and I am so getting one soon. What I love about this trend is that its has this chic and elegant vibe. Culottes are for everyone, no matter you shape and size...just go for one that fits. For some people, culottes can be pretty hard to style, so I am doing this post for those who would to own this fashion staple but are unsure how to style it....

1. Think of them like an A-line skirt and go from there. Got culottes anxiety? Think of them as you would an A-line skirt when going about styling them and stick to basic colors like black, navy, and off-white to get yourself started. Before you know it, you’ll be living in culottes and experimenting with fun prints and colors, but this is the best way to start.

2. Wear  with a crop top:

I particularly love Culottes because they are high-waisted, which makes it easier to pair with a crop top. For those who have been working their abs out and are looking for a way to flaunt it, Culottes paired with a crop top is just what you need.

3. Get the corporate look
Culottes can also be worn to the office, all you have to do is cover it up for a more professional look. I think culottes can add a very chic edge to your look, making you the center of attention at work.

4.  Put your best foot forward
Because of how high these pants are, you’ve got to make sure your shoe game is on point. Rock your culottes with fab shoes 'cos they will be on display.

5. Don’t be afraid to play with proportions.
While the width and length of culottes can vary by quite a lot, the pants are usually high-waisted, which means they work particularly well with a top on the shorter side of things. It doesn’t have to be a crop top, but it should fall above your hip so your mid-section doesn’t end up looking wider than it is. Another way to wear them is with a tucked in blouse, which is a great look for the office.

Plus...Plus: Be colourful and playful with your culottes, that's the fun of dressing up.

I hope you find this post really helpful.

xoxo

  5. Hello Pat,

I love culottes, they are more relaxed than skirts and cooler than trousers.

I enjoyed reading this post :-)
