The Ombré Lips technique is a two-tone look that subtly contours the
mouth. A darker shade around the rim of your lips adds definition, while
a slightly softer tone in the center reflects light and creates the
illusion of fuller, juicier lips. “The key is to use two shades in the same color family. “They should gradually fade into each other for an ombré effect.” There are so many shade of ombré lips you can try, but I will like to share how to achieve a dark pink ombré lip. With this tutorial, you can try other shades.
Get The Look
- Apply concealer or foundation over your lips
- Take a medium purple lipstick and apply it all over your lips
- Apply pencil in milk to the center of your lip and blot your lips together to blend the colors. Keep doing this till you get the desired shade of light purple you want and till its blended.
- Line your lips with a black lip liner (or eyeliner) and use a lip brush to blend it downward into your purple so there isn’t a harsh line.
- Make sure your black liner is sharp and at the corners of your mouth start winging it out like if you were doing a cat eye. This may take a few times before you get them both even but don’t worry you’ll get it. (If you mess up just wipe it off and apply some foundation or concealer)
- Clean up the edges of your lips with your foundation/concealer
Remember, whenever you make a bold lip statement, keep the rest of your makeup lowkey as not to compete. Give it a try!
I hope you find this post help. xoxo
