CWP Beauty: Beauty wonders of Turmeric.

I am queen of trying natural beauty application; from what I apply on my natural hair to what I use on my face and skin at large. Most times, mum will just look at me and be like "Onyinye (my native name) sense fall on you" 😂. Anyways, onetime I wasn't feeling the look of my face; pimples, acne and all, I decided to research natural ways of restoring my shine as the store-bought product I had wasn't working.
I learned about tumeric powder, did it work for me? 100% and more.

Turmeric works for pimples, acne, eczema, controls oily skin, reduces inflammation/facial redness, aids anti-aging and more.

TUMERIC MASK

What is needed

• 1 teaspoon of turmeric
• 1 teaspoon of pure honey
• 1 teaspoon of plain yogurt or milk

How to

Pour turmeric in a bowl, add honey and yogurt/milk. You can add more yogurt/milk if its too thick but be sure to make it a firm paste so it sticks to your face.

Application

Wash face with running water, apply the paste evenly all over your face, ensure that you apply it under your eyes, the anti-inflammatory property of turmeric helps reduce dark cirlcle.

Leftovers can be kept in the fridge for a few days and can be used another time.

Duration

Leave the turmeric mask on your face for about 15-20 minutes, then wash off with cool water.

Please note that turmeric stains a great deal, so, use stainless plate for mixing and wear a clothe you are not so attached to 😉.

Other optional ingredient to add to the above mentioned

• Lemon juice: controls oily skin, lightens and exfoliates the skin.
• Tea tree oil: for pimples and acne.
• Olive oil: for dry skin and to restore shine to your face.

Some people call it "red ginger".

Yoruba: "Atalepupa"

Efik/Ibibio: "Idewodo".
